Emma Tomlinson MA VetMB MRCVS
Company Director & Embryo Transfer Vet

Emma studied at Magdalene College, Cambridge receiving a BA Honours 1993-1996 and a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine 1996-1999.

Most of Emma's early veterinary career was spent in equine practice on performance in racehorses, polo ponies and other sport horses. Emma is the sole director of Beaufort Embryo Transfer and is one of the embryo transfer and reproduction vets at the centre. She is also an integral part of her ambulatory clinical vet practice Tomlinson Equine Vets. Emma became passionate about embryo transfer and equine reproduction after her first visit to Dr Fernando Rieras embryo centre in Argentina, Dona Pilar, and with his help set up Beaufort Embryo Transfer in 2002. She is hugely encouraged with the progression and advances in breeding techniques already shown in the last decade and continues to strive for further improvement and development in this ever expanding area. Emma is one of England's top lady Polo players as well as being a qualified polo coach. She has also Evented to Intermediate level and rode in Point-to-Point and National Hunt races for over a decade.
 
Alice Bowden
PA / Veterinary Administrator

Alice grew up in Yorkshire and gained a 2:1 Zoology degree from Bristol University in 2005. She lived and worked in competition yards in Ireland for 5 years before moving to Gloucestershire and joining the Beaufort Embryo Transfer team in 2011. Alice has always kept and ridden horses; she loves hunting in the winter and has evented up to CCI*** level.
 
Irma Rosati
Reproduction Vet

Irma graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Sassari, Italy in 1999 and then did a PhD in Animal Reproduction Physiology. She has always focussed on Equine Reproduction and has worked in many breeding studs using assisted reproductive techniques. Irma worked for 3 years for Paul Schockemohle at his Lewitz breeding stud in Germany and joined the Beaufort Embryo Transfer team in 2016.
 
Fiona Jacob
Veterinary Surgeon

Fiona graduated from Cambridge and has worked with sport horses for her entire veterinary career. She focusses on performance horse medicine and lameness and is currently undergoing specialist training in Equine Rehabilitation Techniques. Fiona worked in Australia for 3 years in racing yards and breeding studs before returning to the UK in 2013.
 
Stephanie Shewry
Stud Groom

Having grown up in the city Stephanie left behind her hometown of Plymouth to study at Hartpury College in the Gloucestershire countryside. Throughout her degree she focused on equine reproduction subjects, becoming fascinated by artificial reproduction and took her AI certificate in 2012. She gained her BSc Honors degree in Equine Science in 2014 and joined the Beaufort team for her first breeding season in 2015.
 
Sara Williams
Stud Groom & Nursing Assistant

Sara grew up in Hampshire and has owned and ridden horses since an early age. She studied Equine Science at Morton Morrell College and has worked at some top sport horse studs and stallion centres in the UK. Sara enjoys riding her own horse ("Frank") in her spare time.
